Ask your pastor, with no preface, prompting, or clarification, whether or not they believe in inerrancy. Then sit back and listen. If statistics bear true, a majority will start with "well..." or "it depends..." or avoid answering altogether by asking you a question. My advice is straightforward. Tie your shoelaces, because it is time for you to run. The Bible is either 100% true or it isn't. Do not assume your pastor or your church leaders believe the entire Bible is true.
